Save Some Green by Going Green
Change Your Light bulbs!
Changing your light bulbs is a simple at home project that can save you money on your electric bill and help the environment at the same time.
With this project, you can involve the whole family and utilize it as a “Go Green” learning opportunity.
What light bulb can provide savings, family fun and help the environment?
Have you seen the funny looking bulbs that swirl?
These are known as CFL bulbs (Compact fluorescent Light bulb) or sometimes referred to as Energy Efficient bulbs.
These bulbs use one-quarter of the electricity as a standard bulb and they last several years longer.
The initial investment is more but the payout is well worth it.
When shopping for these bulbs...
Please keep in mind that the watts will equate differently.
For example: a 40watt standard bulb is comparable to a 7watt CFL or a 100watt standard is equivalent to a 26watt CFL.
Most of the packaging will have a conversion chart to ensure you purchase the right bulb.
