The Importance of Maintenance

Have you ever heard the phrase:
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

One of the most common problems we have seen since we started working in this business has been needless repairs and replacements on systems that could have been avoided if some regular maintenance would have been performed. A common fallacy we keep hearing is that regular maintenance doesn’t make a difference. We’re here to tell you that it does! And we’re not just saying this because it is a service our business offers. If it wasn’t helpful, we wouldn’t offer it.

Most people are sure to have their teeth cleaned by their dentist at least once a year if not twice, and most cars get an oil change and tune-up on a regular basis. So if you car and teeth are important enough to maintain, why wouldn't the system that keeps you comfortable and healthy all year round deserve to be running in its best condition?

One of the most important aspects of regular maintenance on an air conditioner is checking for refrigerant leaks. Not only does a leaking air conditioner pose a threat to our environment, but is one of the major causes of system failure. Plus, the EPA indicates a system only 1/2 lb. low on refrigerant equals 20% more utility usage. If you are not currently having your system maintained, we can help. If you are, good for you. You are a wise homeowner.
